I’m Calvin,(bass), one the original members of the fourth grade “Quadrophonics” band. Eric, Merle, I can’t tell you how proud I am of you guys being considered House Music Legends. It just goes to show you when you make music for the love of it,you never know how or who it touches in the right way. i take your point richard, and agree to a certain extent, but the trax 12″s will still set you back around £15 in your local vinyl exchange. that’s not that exorbitant in the crazy world of record collecting, but still a fair wodge of money (at least to me). the fact that i can now own the pair of them on well-pressed vinyl (rather than the notoriously bad trax pressings) for the same price is uh, great news to say the least. plus merwyn and eric are obviously getting paid off it!

but i’ll fully admit to my phrasing being awkward…

I’ve edited the intro to reflect what you’ve said about the CD, although I think Peder’s point stands on the basis that however easy/difficult their music was to own it’s still not nearly as widely recognized as it should be.

The Radical release may be expensive second hand, but the two original EPs are easy to get hold of and not expensive at all. It could be seen that Rush Hour’s version is more of a collection of the two Trax singles instead. The opening statement phrases this a little awkwardly, because the audio isn’t that hard or expensive to find on vinyl at all. It’s the CD issue that really commands the high prices.
