Well, I first heard Simon play at the ‘Icebox’ (a walk in freezer buried within the ‘Box’ in Auckland) when he was a slim 15 years old.

Often there were only two or three of us in there having (in my opinion) a far funkier time listening to acid hard-trance techno tech-house electro acid-house and whatever oddities where thrown into the mix, compared to the non-frontal lobe-mainstream house that the Box rang to.

Simon would acknowledge and feed off us as we did him, and our whooping was sometimes loud enough to ring above the main rig and attract the odd oddball in from out in the main room… and some once there never left.

The rest is history and it is only just begun.
