It's hard to put my finger on what it is about "deep house" that gets me, without turning sentimental. On the other hand, you have to embrace the excess -- the "silvery teardrops" and the "down on my knees / begging you please" rhyme -- or you can't love the music on its own terms. This review pulls it off. Well done. Somehow missed this the first time around, but I’d like to echo what has already been said (18 months later): what a great review for a tremendous track.
