Ciao!

So much happening this weekend in Chicago

If you’re in Chicago this weekend you’re in luck. There’s a proverbial buffet of great acts to see all around the city. Here are a few which are especially worth mentioning:

Thursday:

Ulrich Schnauss @ the Empty Bottle

Friday:

Samuel L Session, Sasha @ Vision
Thomas Fehlmann @ Kinetic Playground
Afrika Bambaataa @ Zentra
Ulrich Schnauss @ Beat Kitchen (all ages)

Saturday:

Dan Bell @ Tini Martini (!!!)
Telefon Tel Aviv @ Sonotheque
Deerhunter & No Age @ Empty Bottle

I’ve never been to Chicago, but is Tini Martini as, um, classy as it sounds? Ahem…

Mark loved last night’s show so much that it’s entirely possible.

And yes, Tini Martini is kind of a shady place. As shocked as I was to see Dan Bell performing in Chicago with little or no promotion or warning, I was doubly so to see the choice of venue. Whether or not I brave that element is TBA.
